No hydraulics, no electronics, no oil station to interlock. A spring-loaded cone that overloads on tramp metal and keeps running — the machine our clients in remote regions order precisely because nothing on it needs a specialist to fix.
The spring cone is the oldest reliable answer to secondary crushing, and it is still the cheapest way to put a cone into a plant that runs on a weak grid with a two-man maintenance team. Crushing force is resisted by a ring of springs around the frame: when an uncrushable lump enters, the springs compress, the bowl lifts, the lump passes, and the machine carries on.
There is no hydraulic power unit, no PLC and no oil-temperature interlock to trip. Setting adjustment is mechanical rather than hydraulic, which costs you some convenience and saves you an entire subsystem that can fail at 2 a.m. on a site 400 km from the nearest town.
Typical duty: secondary crushing of basalt, granite, river gravel and iron ore from 110 to 610 t/h; also widely used as the second stage on mobile-plant-based contractor lines where service access is the binding constraint.

C = coarse cavity, Z = medium cavity, C2 = extra-coarse cavity. Capacities are open-circuit on medium-hard rock.
Coarse, medium or extra-coarse springs and liners, fixed at order.
Motor supplied for your voltage and frequency; belt or direct drive according to model.
Mn13Cr2 standard; high-chrome liners for abrasive feed.
Anti-rust treatment, sealed electricals, high-ambient bearing clearances.
Recommended one-year wear and consumable kit shipped with the machine, so commissioning does not stop for a $40 part.
| Item | Commitment |
|---|---|
| Standard machine lead time | 60 days from order confirmation |
| Annual production capacity / monthly shipments | 1,000 units per year · 100 units per month (all ranges) |
| Spare parts supply | Within 2 months worst case; typically far faster for models in current production |
| Engineer attendance on site | Within 10 days of the requirement being agreed, for export markets |
| Remote support | Response within one working day; included, not charged |
| Warranty | Terms stated in the contract in the same words published on this site |
| Installation & commissioning | Guidance and supervision by our engineers, through to acceptance at rated capacity |
| Buyer provides | Site civil works, electrical installation and site access — drawings and answers supplied |
We supply the machines, the drawings, the commissioning support and the parts. We do not operate your plant after handover.
Two reasons, both practical: cost, and the absence of an oil/hydraulic subsystem in a place where nobody can service one. We sell both, so we will tell you which your site actually needs — including when the answer is the cheaper machine.
It is old, not obsolete. It is still specified on contractor and remote-region plants worldwide because the failure mode is benign: springs compress and the machine continues. A hydraulic machine with a failed oil station stops the whole line.
Mechanically, with the adjustment ring — the procedure is in the O&M manual and covered in the operator training we deliver at commissioning. It is slower than hydraulic adjustment, which is the honest trade-off.
Material, feed size, target capacity and product sizes gets you a model recommendation and a price — not a catalogue.
