Guinea — 400 t/h crushing line, installation guided on site

A complete line shipped to West Africa as one package, installed with our engineers on site, and commissioned to rated capacity. The reference most West African buyers ask about first.

What the project needed

The client was building an aggregate production line in Guinea and faced the problem that decides most West African equipment projects: a complete set of machines had to arrive together, because a line that is 90% installed produces nothing. Ordering crushers from one supplier, screens from a second and structure from a third is how projects end up three months late with nobody responsible for the gaps between packages.

They came to us for the whole mechanical set — feeding, crushing, screening and the structure between them — on the basis that one manufacturer owning all the interfaces is worth more than the lowest price on each individual item.

What we supplied

A 400 t/h crushing line as a single mechanical package: twin-shaft bar feeder, jaw primary, secondary cone, vibrating screens, belt conveyors and self-fabricated steel structure, with foundation and general-arrangement drawings issued ahead of the shipment so the client's civil works could proceed in parallel with manufacture.

Standard machine lead time was 60 days from order confirmation. Packing followed our standard sea-freight specification — frame-box and naked packing, anti-rust preservation, and an FCL loading plan supplied to the client's freight forwarder.

Installation and commissioning

Our engineers attended site to guide installation and to supervise commissioning through to rated-capacity acceptance. This is the part overseas buyers consistently under-estimate: reading an installation drawing is not the same as having done the alignment, the belt tracking and the electrical interlocks before.

Commissioning included operator and maintenance training, and the handover of the operation and maintenance manual, the spare-parts list and the recommended first-year wear-parts schedule.

On-site realities. This project is the reason our installation and commissioning page talks about foundation readiness, port clearance and inland transport rather than only about torque values. West African inland logistics and customs formalities are a bigger risk to the schedule than the machines are — see Installation & Commissioning.
